Pennfield Ridge War Memorial Service (2009)
~Remembering Those Who Served and/or Worked At Pennfield Ridge Air Station & Camp Utopia~
September 27th, 2009
On-site service: Provincial Park, Pennfield Ridge 2-3 p.m.
Reception service: The Royal Canadian Legion (Branch #40), St. George 3-5 p.m.
This coming 27 September we will honour the seventy-six (76) service personnel (69 Air Station (plus 1 R.N. seaman who was a passenger aboard a Ventura aircraft when it crashed) and 6 Camp Utopia)
killed at these two Charlotte County bases; remember those who have since gone on to join their comrades in the sky and listen to the stories from those we still have with us. Anyone with comments and/or suggestions please
feel to contact us. Anyone willing to assist us in our endeavors in ensuring this
worthwhile event continues also please feel free to contact us.

Royal Anthem - God Save The Queen
Assistance with the on-site service is being provide by The Royal Canadian Legion (Branch #40), St. George. The 250 RCAF (Saint John) Wing and The Royal Canadian Legion (Branch #40) is providing the colour party. Therefore Legion jackets and/or dress jackets along with medals can be worn for those Veterans in attendance.

(Ernie) McGowan (February 27th), William J. (Bill) McWhirter (January 12th), John A.S. (Jack) Reid (January 10th), Lawrence Pineo Richardson (September 20th); Charles (Charlie) Simpson (February 27th), Charles Rowland (Roy) Swanston (March 25th), and to all the others who have put their lives on the line to keep our country free.
