To the Honorable Martin Hunter Esquire, President of His Majesty's
Council, and Commander in Chief of the Province of New Brunswick &,&,&,--
The Memorial of Alexander Forbes Mylne of the Parish of Saint
George in the County of Charlotte--
Humbly Sheweth--
That your memorialist was born in the Island of Jamaica, from which
place he removed to this Country in the year 1786 where he resided ever
since and followed farming.--That having a wife and several children for
whom he is desirous to make a permanent provision, an object which he has
not yet been able to accomplish having had no other land to work upon except
what he leased from others he intends, with your Honor's permission, to
settle upon some of the vacant lands some considerable distance up the
main river Magaguadavick which he has explored for that purpose.--
He humbly begs leave tp report that upon the western side of the said
river, between the Lots lately surveyed for Captain Gereau and John Davidson,
there is a vacant tract of Land, a small part of which would accommodate
him and his family with a tolerable settlement.-- Therefore respectfully
requests your Honor will be pleased to Grant him two hundred acres adjoining
to John Davidsons upper and northern boundary on the west side of the river
Magaguadavic aforesaid and your memorialist as in duty bound will ever
pray.

I hereby certify that the memorialist Alexn F. Mylne arrived at this
place from the Island of Jamaica in the year 1786-- and resided in this
settlement ever since; is a Sober and industrious man; a good
farmer and valuable settler, -- and that he is possessed of sufficient
means to settle the Lands he asks for.--
