COMMISSION OF A DEPUTY RETURNING OFFICER
TO Guy H. Clinch, St. George Know you, that in my capacity of returning officer, for the electoral district of Charlotte in the Province of New Brunswick, I have appointed, and do hereby appoint you to be deputy returning officer for the polling district number 21 of the said electoral district of Charlotte, there to take the votes of the electors by ballot according to law, at the polling station, to be by you opened and kept for that purpose, and you are hereby authorized and required to open and hold the poll of such election for the said polling district on the fifth day of March, at nine o'clock in the forenoon, at or near the office of the late Dr. Thompson and there to keep the said poll open during the hours prescribed by law, and to take at the said polling place, by ballot, in the manner by law provided, the votes of the electors voting at the said polling place, and after counting the votes given and performing the other duties required of you by law, to return to me forthwith the ballot box sealed with your seal, and enclosing the ballots, envelopes, list of voters, poll-book, and other documents required by law, together with this commission.
