Peacefully, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB on September 8, 2002, Mr. Otis Hubert Leavitt of Back Bay, NB.  Born in Back Bay on July 26, 1912, he was a son of the late John and Sara (Harris) Leavitt.  He is survived by two brothers, Kinsbur of Back Bay and Octive of Fredericton; two sisters, Bessie, Mrs. Fred Hanley Sr. of Back Bay and Ethel Wilcox of Saint John; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He was predeceased by one sister, Martha and two brothers, Melvin and Basil.

 Before retiring, Otis had been employed by Connors Brothers for many years.  As well, he was a self-employed lobster fisherman.

 Resting at the St. George Funeral Home, 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB (755-3533) with visiting on Tuesday from 7 to 9 PM and on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.  The service will be held at Sea View Full Gospel Church in Back Bay on Thursday at 2 PM, followed by interment at the Leavitt’s Head Cemetery.  Memorial donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society or the NB Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
