This is what the Catholic Church looked like before repairs were done
during the 1940's. It was decided at the time not to use extra money &
wood to replace the steeple, but to conserve as a way to show support of
the War effort.
The original design was done by John Austin. He was 24 years old ,
architecture & builder. He built his home in Redtown, just west of
the Cold Storage, Main street.
