Do you notice the horse and wagon crossing over the gorge?

This  is a stereoview picture. Side mounts provide additional information: "Climo's Stereographs of New Brunswick / Views of Residences and Portrait Photography -- Studio No. 85 Germain Street, Saint John, N.B." References in Darrah's book indicates J.S. Climo was "producing fine local (Canadian) views" circa 1870's.
