Messrs. John Trafton, Joseph Coburn and James Pinkerton sustained more or less damage.

Mr. and Mrs. James Slayter gave the young people of DeWolfe and Lynnfield a very interesting party on Tuesday evening of last week.Dancing, games, and music were the principal entertainments of the evening.

Lynnfield – Our young people are anticipating a pleasant time on Christmas Eve, when they are to repair to the house of Mr. John Trafton where the Christmas tree is to be held.We believe dialogues, etc., are being prepared for the occasion.

May 24 1894

Mr. Thos. Hastay, and his son of Lynnfield, caught two fine bears at Porter’s Meadows one day last week.One of them is said to weigh four hundred pounds.

It is proposed to lay out a new road on the line between the properties of Robert McMorran and Mrs. Emma Russell from Oak Hill to Alvin Christie’s place, intersecting the Lynnfield road.It is understood that the parties will give in the land free and the parish will fence the road. The will cost only about $360.00

Wm. Weeks of Lynnfield, St. James, in twenty days time threshed three thousand nine hundred and sixty bushels of all sorts of grain, moving into thirty one barns.At Levi Stewart’ barn he threshed ninety-five bushels of buckwheat and one hundred and seventy bushels of oats in six hours and thirty five minutes.

Lynnfield:The ice cream social held at the home of Frank Hastay was a decided success, the sum of $18.35 being realized.Frank Hastay and W.H. Weeks furnished the music with their gramophones and a very pleasant time was enjoyed.
