| June 1 1871 | Fires were raging in the
vicinity of Watt Junction in the early part of the
week. Mr. Thos. Watt and Mr. John Taylor each had
their fences destroyed. On Monday a horse belonging to Mr. Robert Watts was killed by the train – one owned by Mr. Thos. Watt was injured at the same time. |
