Parishes of Saint John County

The city of Saint John received its charter in 1785. Along with the city of Saint John, three  parishes were formed in 1786. They were Portland, Lancaster and Saint Martins. In 1839, Simonds parish was formed and in 1877, Musquash parish was formed.

For a more detailed description of where each of these parishes were located within the county and how the formation of Simonds and Musquash parishes changed the original three parishes. Visit here Parishes of Saint John County.
