[INTRODUCTION]Knowledge of unmarked graves in these 4 Parishes has been handed down by word of mouth only.
Audrey Newell, NBGS member, reports the presence of an unmarked grave for Peter MORRISON by the Digdeguash River in Elmsville, south of the home of Norval and Dorothy Dyer.
Found at the Church of the Transfiguration, Bethel, in the back southwest corner are several depressions with no stones. These are Mrs. SHORT and her baby as well as John SUMMERTON and his wife Margaret MURPHY- son 14 years.
HOLLAND FAMILY CEMETERYThis cemetery is located about 1.2 km in on the Oven Head Road. Just before the Maxwell farm located on the left, a dirt road will be found to the right. The cemetery situated on the Jim Carson home, is marked by 4 corner stones.
The HOLLAND family lived on Long Island but brought their family to the mainland to be buried in this plot. It is unknown which family members rest here.
As told by Jim Carson to George F. Haney.
