YOUR HOST and PARISH COORDINATOR
My name is Marilyn Strout and I
am also the Charlotte County Coordinator. My mother was
raised on Deer Island, in Richardson and descends from
the Johnson & Fitzmaurice (Rollingdam) Family. My dad
descends from a founding father of St. Stephen . . .
James Maxwell. I grew up in St. Stephen & Calais and
still have family in the area. I currently live in south
western Maine near Brunswick. I usually come home to
visit every May for a photographing trip.
In May of 2007, my friend Dorene
Bartlett and I travelled the roads of Saint Patrick
Parish and took 443 photographs of tombstones. (Watch for
them to appear on this site in the coming months). We met
some wonderful residents who took the time to direct me
to some out-of-the-way tombstones that I never would have
found.
