Saint Patrick Parish does not have its own mailing
list, query board, or surname page. These services are provided through
the central Charlotte County GenWeb site and RootsWeb:
Charlotte
County Lookups: People have kindly
volunteered to do lookups from material they have gathered over time.
If you are looking for information on a SPECIFIC individual or family
name, please e-mail them . Kindly remember that they are volunteers and
make only reasonable requests for information. And above all, don't forget
to say "thank you" to them!
Charlotte
County Query/Message Board: Post a
question about Charlotte County genealogy. Try to be as specific
as possible in your topic line. HINTS:
Construct your entries off line, then cut and paste
them into the message block of the board.
Always use the three letter abv. for the months,
since many people disagree on the order for all-number dates. (Just what
does 01/02/03 mean?)
All entries containing commercial ventures, obscenities,
flames, or other inappropriate contents will be edited or removed
- without notice.
Please DO NOT use such words as Genealogy, Ancestors,
Newbie, Family, Heritage, Charlotte County etc. in the SUBJECT section
of your query unless there is a compelling reason. Usually such words are
redundant. Surnames, place names and dates give a much better idea of what
you want.
You can be as informal or formal as suits your personal style, but please
follow the basic rules of capitalization. It is difficult to read messages
that are either all upper case or all lower case. The one exception is
that you should put SURNAMES or other words that you want to emphasize
in full capitals to make them stand out.
New
Brunswick Query/Message Boards: There
are similar message/query boards for most other New Brunswick counties,
as well as a general board for all of New Brunswick. The same hints and
guidelines apply.
