Krimminger Graveyard

The graveyard is on land that was formerly owned by Pierson S. Shinn in 1982 (Mr. Shinn is deceased and I don't know who the present owner is.) Mr. Shinn's father bought the Frederick Krimminger farm in 1905 from Frederick Krimminger's descendents/heirs.

Several transcriptions of these tombstones have been published in books and journals, and unfortunately, some were published with errors. I went back to this graveyard several times to check the information on the tombstones against my own transcription as well as the transcriptions of others. Some of the tombstones are difficult to read. You will notice that some names are not of conventional spelling and some of the math does not perk, but the following transcription accurately records information from the tombstones. I have added a few notes in brackets.

Synthia Caroline Crimminger

Died June 13, 1892
Aged 64 y's 7 m's 9 d's

There appears to be several unmarked graves in this small graveyard. In the early 1980's the graveyard was partially enclosed by a fence and was surrounded by cedar trees.
