Welcome to the Caswell County North Carolina GenWeb (CCGW). Please share your genealogical research for the benefit of all who are interested in the history and genealogy of Caswell County. Thanks to the generosity of dedicated Caswell County researchers, significant progress has been made since the CCGW's new beginning in November 2002. Your hosts are Rick Frederick and Martha Spencer. Please e-mail either of them proposed additions to this site, suggestions for new features, and corrections to posted information. The CCGW works closely with the Caswell County Historical Association (CCHA). The focus of the CCHA is the history of Caswell County, while the CCGW focuses primarily on genealogy. The two sites must to some extent overlap, and your support of both is encouraged. Your attention is called to two joint efforts by the CCGW and the CCHA: the Caswell County Family Tree and the CCHA/CCGW Message Board. The Caswell County Family Tree is an effort to record online in a searchable format all who lived in Caswell County. The CCHA/CCGW Message Board acts as a mailing list for those who would like to receive information about the CCHA, CCGW, and the Richmond-Miles History Museum. It also will provide a forum to share materials about the history of Caswell County and its people. Joining this the Message Board, while restricted, is free and easy, as is unsubscribing should you no longer be interested. |
