Cabarrus
County North
Carolina Tax Scroll - 1890 Kathryn L. Bridges, Bernard W. Cruse,
Jr, and Larry W. Hayer, transcribers and editors.
Most researchers know that almost all of the 1890
census was destroyed. Of the three surviving North Carolina townships,
none are in Cabarrus County. Genealogists use many records to
supplement this lost census. For Cabarrus County, the 1890 Tax Scroll
is one substitute. Listings for townships one through nine were
published in the Cabarrus Genealogy Society journal by Kathryn Bridges
over a period of several years. Kathy retired before publishing the
last three township lists. Bill Cruse scanned the journal pages and
copied the last three lists from microfilm. Soft bound 170 Pages $19.00
plus $2.50 S&H #1890TX
