I am looking for information on Aaron Freeman's ancestors and decendants. I know that he was born in 1745 to John Freeman Jr. in Chowan County. He married Mary Bentley on December 17, 1769 and they lived in Rowan County for some time. He was granted a tavern's license on May 3, 1774 for a tavern located in the forks of Yadkin River. They then moved to Iredall County and were in the census there in 1790 and 1800. In 1810 he appears in the Buncombe County census or so I am told. I am told no will has been found for either of them and that they are buried in unmarked graves at the Freeman Gap Cemetary. I simply do not have all the facts about themso anyone who can help me confirm or deny any of this information would be greatly appreaciated. I know I have had several Freeman relatives in North Carolina between the years of 1716-to possibly the present???? I am also looking for any information on my great grandfather Branson Freeman, who was born on August 15, 1871, in Madison County and had a twin brother named Anson. He is in the 1880 census at age 11 and I am told that he went into hiding after "taking the blame" for the shooting of his cousin, Pinkey. Branson (Brant) then moved to Arkansas and changed his name to John Wilson. I know his parents were Robert M. Freeman born 11-28-1839 in Little Pine and his mother was Martha K. Wilson. Any information anyone might have that would be relevant to these family lines would be very helpful. So please let me know. Thank you, LeVonda Vickery

I have information regarding my mothers side of the family the BAIN and Herbert families. Bain was rooted in North Carolina if I remember correctly. It is all boxed up but I have information dating back 2-3 hundred years. Wher I believe the family originally came from Wales and were related to the Herberts of Pembrook. I would like to find relatinves of the lost "tribe" brothers of my great great grandfather. Thanks Sandra SonnenburgSally Furuiye Mon Dec 9 12:19:02 1996
Searching for information about Robert WILLSON who arrived in Perqumans County from Virginia before 1696. His descendants were my ancestors. I have the skeleton of the family line but would like to know more about these folks. They were all Quakers and stayed in the area until about 1830. When Henry M. WILLSON moved onto Guilford County and then to points west. I have a great deal of information about this family I would be willing to share.
