Family Histories - The Family Research Society has compiled over 100 volumes of family histories from the information donated by our members and non-members.  The information on file includes: family group sheets, ancestry charts, descendant reports, pictures, vital records, wills, deeds, etc.  To review the list of surnames included in our Family History files click here.

 

Searchable Databases - The library computer has several searchable databases.

• Master Index - a full name index of 46 (and growing) Northeastern North Carolina genealogy publications, cemetery records, family histories, and FRS library resources.  At present over 169,000 names are in the file.

• Library Catalog – a listing of all the books in the FRS library.
• Family Histories - collection of FRS member donated families.
• Obituaries - collection of FRS member donated histories, 7 volumes.

Chowan county Will Abstacts 1707-1850 – Edenton Tea Party Chapter NSDAR (1976);  The original book has a separate index after each Will book, three indexes in total.  In April of 2009, Janet Searles Barrett re-indexed the book into one index.  [Chowan Co Will Abtracts 1707-1850 Index] 

 

Carolina Trees & Branches Index 1992-2008

 

Historical Highlights of Camden County 1777-1977  – In 2008, this book was reformatted, indexed and published by FRS.   The original 1977 version was not indexed, until now.  [1977 Historical Highlights of Camden County 1777-1977 – Index]  

 

 

Full Name Index to Pasquotank County Cemeteries  – Volume 1 & Volume 2 of the Pasquotank County Cemeteries by Susan Lilly Jones have been indexed by the Surname/given Name and available for printing. [Pasquotank County Cemeteries Volume I – Index] and [Pasquotank County Cemeteries Volume II – Index]

 

 

Index to Pasquotank Historical Society (Year Books) – Volume 1 & Volume 2 of the Pasquotank Historical Society Year Books have been indexed by Sharon Gable.  Thanks, Sharon! [Pasquotank Hist Soc (1954-1955) Volume I – Index] and Volume II [Pasquotank Hist Soc (1956-1957) Volume II – Index]
