Membership Application Information

 

The Genealogical Society of Davidson County was established as a non-profit organization in 1980.  Since then it has grown to be one of the most active and fast growing Genealogical Societies in this area.  Membership in the Society is open to anyone interested in genealogy.  Yearly dues are renewable each January.  To join, please complete a membership application.

 

The following types of memberships are available;

  • Life                              $200.00
  • Sustaining                         50.00
  • Institutional or Business    15.00
  • Individual                         15.00
  • Family                              15.00 plus $5.00 for each additional                                                         person desiring membership                                                            and living at the same address.                                                         Maximum $25.00 per                                                                     household per year.

 

Members are asked to fill out a pedigree chart with the Society so that others will know the families that they are researching.  Members who have filed a pedigree may submit a query to be published.

 

The Society meets four times a year on the third Monday of January, April, July, and October.  A newsletter and a 50 page Journal are published quarterly and mailed to all members free of charge.

 

Persons desiring a review or to advertise books in the journal may do so if a copy of their publication is sent to the Society and permission is granted to make said copy the property of the Society.
