The Davidson County Library Genealogy Room is located in the rear corner on the Main Street side of the Lexington Library at 602 S. Main St.

It houses a highly regarded collection of resource books dealing not only with Davidson County and North Carolina genealogy but that of several other states as well.

On hand are family genealogies, surname files, census microfilm records sorted by county, estate records, church records, and Lexington Dispatch microfilm records.

Dewey Snider, the present librarian, assumed that role last year after Jeanette Wilson retired after many years of faithful service.  Dewey is always ready to assist researchers in their quests.

Use the Lexington Library website to access the Genealogy Room or direct questions to the Email Address (fees or charges may apply)
