This cemetery is located in the Hemphill section of Haywood County, NC.
To reach this cemetery, take Hwy. 276 down Jonathan's Creek toward I-40 and Tennessee. Take Hemphill Road on the left. From Hemphill Road, take Potleg Road on the left and then Cemetery Road on the right. The cemetery is at the end of Cemetery Road.
This cemetery is beautifully maintained and is surrounded by a fence of mountain laurel. It can be entered by a gate at the back of the cemetery. All visitors should be careful to fasten the gate securely.
This cemetery contains 55 identifiable and readable graves.

No person is ever truly dead until the last person forgets to remember them.

**This marker is a wooden cross set into a handlaid rock monument.
The top of the cross is engraved with the letters AMO,
the name and dates are engraved on the crosspiece of the cross,
and on the shaft of the cross is a beautifully handpainted four-pronged
genseng plant complete with cluster of red berries.**
