Lake Logan Cemetery (which includes Burnette Siding Cemetery) Lake Logan Road Haywood County, NC Surveyed May 13, 2000 by Rebecca Howell To reach this cemetery, take Hwy 276 to Lake Logan Road (Hwy 215). Take Lake Logan Road until you reach Lake Logan. Take Suncrest Road on the right after passing the lake. Stay on Suncrest Road, making all turns to the left until you reach a gate which prevents you from turning left. Turn right and go to the cemetery which is at the top of the hill. The road is gravel and dirt and makes a complete circle. It is a very rough road. This cemetery is on the side of a very steep hill and could not be surveyed in an orderly fashion. I began at the top and worked my way to the bottom. This cemetery is very well maintained and a very sincere attempt has been made to identify and mark all graves, but there are still 25-50 graves with unreadable markers and fieldstone markers. I have not recorded those. There are some graves where there are no visible markers. I have not recorded those. Handmade wooden crosses with brass nameplates have been erected on almost all of the Gibson family graves. The graves of the Burnette Siding Baptist Church are included in this cemetery, so anyone searching for Burnette Siding Cemetery should go to Lake Logan Cemetery. No one is ever truly dead until the last person forgets to remember them. Beginning at the top and moving to the bottom: Robert H. Pace 9-9-1913 10-19-1976 Double headstone Ila G.
