State of North Carolina Martin County This Indenture made the eight day of February one Thousand Eight hundred & twelve between Richard Barnecastle and Martha hsi wife of the one part and Lewis Cone of the other part witnesseth that the said Richard Barnecastle and Martha his wife for and in consideration of the sum of thirty seven dollars and fifty cents to them in hand paid by the said Lewis Cone the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained sold and delivered and by these Presents do bargain sell and deliver to the said Lewis Cone and his heirs forever all the rights title claim Interest or demand which they the said Richard Barncastle & Martha his wife now have or every had or possessed to the Lands given in the Last will and Testement of William Cone of the County aforesaid to his sons and Daughters to have and to hold the said Interest claim right title and demand clear and free from all manner of Incumberance whatever forever and they the said Richard Barnecastle and his wife Martha promise and agree to warrent to the said Lewis Cone that the said title hereby sold is an shall be supposed by them in Law against the claim of all and every person whatever In witness they have hereunto set their hands and caused their Seals to be hereunto Set the day and year before mentioned.

State of NCarolina Martin County March Term 1812 we the Subscribers acting Justices of the Peace for the county of Martin be appointed by the court now sitting to take the private examination of the within named Martha B Castle touching her for consent to the execution of the within deed & she said that did freely and voluntarly.
