    LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF Zachariah Harris

Will book 3 page 406 Martin County In the Superior Court In Re the will of Zachariah Harris Before J A Hobbs C,S,C N. T. Harris being duly sworn doth say that Zachariah Harris late of said county is dead having first made and published his last Will and Testament and that no Executor is named therein. Further that the property of the said Zachariah Harris consisting of a tract of land is worth about $100.00 So far as can be ascertained at the date of this application and that N. T. Harris Geo M. Harris, Martha A. Williams and Martha Ann Harris are the parties entitled under said will to the said property. Sworn and Subscribed fore X his mark me this 29 day of august 1904 N. T. Harris J A Hobbs Clerk Superior Court State of North Carolina Martin County Know all men by these presents that I, Zachariah Harris of said state and County being of sound mind do the day make my last Will and Testament I lend to my beloved wife all of my property both real and personal to have and to hold to her own benefit during her lifetime and at her death I lend all of my land on the west side of Peter Swamp to my son Nathan T Harris his life time and then to his heirs. I also lend to my son George M. Harris all of my land on the East side of Peter Swamp his life time and then to his heirs. I also give my son George M. Harris all of my stock at this mother's death. I give to my daughter Martha A. Williams formerly Harris one Bed and furniture. I also give to my Grand daughter Martha Ann Harris one bed and furniture where unto I set my Hand and seal this August 27, 1877. Test Thos I Reddick John W. Roberson Zachariah Harris (seal) X his mark re the Last Will and Testament of Zachariah Harris deceased A paper writing purporting to be the last will and Testament of Zachariah Harris deceased is exhibited for probate in open Court by N. T. Harris and it is here fore proven by the oath and examination of W. J. Hardison that Thomas I Reddick one of the subcribing witnesses hereto is dead. And it is further proven by the oath and examination of the said W. J. Hardison on that he is well acquainted with the handwriting of the said Thos I Reddick having often seen him write and that the name of the said Thos I Reddick subscribed as a witness to the said will is the handwriting of the said Thos. I. Reddick. W. J. Hardison Sworn to and Subscribed fefore me this 29th day of Aug 1904 J. A. Hobbs Clerk Superior Court
