Generation One:

John Bittick, a soldier in the Revolution, was born in 1748. He served in the Orange County Continental Dragoons under the command of Col. O'Neal. He married Hannah Blount (1754-1853) about 31 December 1780 in Orange County, North Carolina. Hannah may have been the daughter of Col. Benjamin Blount and Afraca ("Affie") Smithwick. John and Hannah lived on Graveyard Creek in what is now Mitchell County, North Carolina. John Bittick died 9 January 1837 in Yancey County, North Carolina.
