and John Harrington, 1891-1894 I have inherited original letters that were written by Kate Duncan Smith, after which the KDS DAR School in Alabama is named. I also have the original response to those letters which was written by John Harrington in North Carolina. The letters date from 1894-1907, mostly in 1894 and 1895. The correspondence has been transcribed with precision and as it was
written in its original form. The transcribed material includes seventy-eight
pages of original hand written correspondence written and signed by Mrs.
Kate Duncan Smith to Mr. John Harrington and his son, State Senator Thomas
W. Harrington.
