Clark, Feb. 6, 1924 - Mar. 22, 1926 (now gone) [It is possible that the area east of the Underwood Plot, now completely overcome by an ancient tree and an eroding slope, was once an organized plot; remnants of boundary markers are visible. If so, perhaps Miss Clark's marker was there.] BARR 220. James S. Barr, 1864 - 1926 221. Helen Forbes Barr, 1880 - 1977 222. Eleanor Barr Coleman, Feb. 11, 1911 - Nov. 15, 1983 JOYNER 223. Harriette Elizabeth Smith, Wife of Charles Erastus Rountree, Dec. 28, 1881 - Mar. 26, 1956 The remainder of the plots listed in this section are vaguely deŽned, and are located between the ancient oak tree and the drive, near the main entrance. Two or three stones, apparently once footstones, are embedded in, and overcome by, the roots of the tree. PEARCE 245. Leonidus (broken fragment lying on ground) 246. Kinsaul, Our Father, Oct. 14, 1808 - Dec. 28, 1865 250. Sallie Kinsaul, Jan. 8, 1808 - June 20, 1872 (broken) The children's stones are small and very worn. Mrs. St. Amand included them in her 1967 listing, and deciphered the now-illegible name as "Martha." She also attributed their death dates to the 18-teens, but this editor saw them all as being in the 1840s. In this case of our differences of opinion, it should be concluded that the earlier dates are not logical, as the grounds were not known to be used for burial prior to the building of the Žrst Methodist Church building in 1833. It is also unlikely that the stones were already there--a vestige of an earlier, private family cemetery--since the other Kinsaul burial dates in the immediate vicinity are much later. Neither does the design of the stones resemble those of an earlier date, but appears similar to others in the mid-1800s. 251. See also the description of the misplaced footstone in the Humber Plot, adjoining. Now there is only a small crypt, without a marker, and is probably the grave of Wm. Lewt Bagley.] HUMBER Other than one broken base, this plot has no markers that appear permanent. If it was, as the editor thinks, the plot of O. P. Humber (grandfather of Sen. Humber, see Section C), the initials and names on the fragments have no bearing on the family's members. The plot was apparently already devoid of gravestones during Mrs. St. Amand's visit in the 1960s. 311. Norman Lewis (broken fragment, face-up & overgrown) 312. W. L. B.
