1. Trueblood Family Cemetery is located on Bagley Swamp Road, Perquimans Co. NC
(9 or 10 graves) transcribed by Gordon Trueblood (complete)
2. Bagley Swamp Community Cemetery is located on Bagley Swamp Rd. This road
forms a loop with Belvidere R. Hwy 37. Turn on to Bagley Swamp Rd. where it
intersects Belvidere Rd. nearest the Perquimans/Chowan County line. The cemetery
is just around the bend on the right hand side of the road. (incomplete)
3. Little River MM Quaker Cemetery is located on SR 1371 on the south side of
the road. (Old Hwy17 to State Rd.1367 E, go past Woodville. Then south on SR
1330 for half-mile then take the first left which is SR 1371, Gregory Lane.(complete)
4. Chappells Hill Cemetery, located at the Chappels Hill Church. There are 3 or
4 cemeteries close to church. 2 are up a dirt path in Perq. Co. and 2 are up a
rock road on right which are in Chowan Co. One is in a field about a quarter of
mile behind and east of Chappel Hill Bapt. Church on County Line Road.
5. Baker Family Cemetery is located two miles from the town of Winfall, down the
Two Mile Desert Rd. Turn right on Swamp Rd. and go one-half mile. The cemetery is
in the center of the field on the left. contributed by James L. Perry, Jr.)
6. Onley Cemetery is located about 1.5 miles on CraneyIsland Rd. (#1212) from
Turnpike Rd. (#1001) near the edge of the field. Onestone placed there in 1985
by a gg grandson Ray Stewart of Indionapolis,In. It’s just a few yards from the
Sexton Cemetery. Data given by Janie Hill, Aug. 1999 (complete)
7. Onley-Hollowell Cemetery is located off Craney Island Rd.(#1212) about 1 mile
from Turnpike Rd. (#1001). It’s up a lane beside the farm of Asa Stallings about
1.5 milespast the Wilkins Cemetery. It is in the woods but the path is passable
by tractor. The cemetery is on a rigde known as Head of the Field. The Joel Onley
house use to stand nearby. Data collected by Janie Hill, Sept. 1996 Onley-Hollowell
Cemetery Unmarked graves. This list is given by Asa Stallings of individuals known
to be buried in this cemetery. Many Onley's and Hollowells's are buried here in

8. The Sexton Cemetery is located about 1.5 miles on Craney Island Rd. (#1212)
from Turnpike Rd (#1001) on the right beside the road. It is overgrown with trees
and only two tombstones remain. Asa Stallings (resident) states that there were
Allen's, Watson's, Green's, and Brickhouses's buried in this cemetery. Data

9. Stallings Cemetery is located in the Up River Community on Craney Island Rd.
(#1212) about 1.3 miles from Turnpike Rd. (#1001)Near the back corner of a farm
belonging to Elias Stallings Estate, up a lane about .3 mile from Craney Island

10. The Samuel White Cemetery is located less than 1/4 mile form Turnpike Rd.
(#1001) on Craney Island Rd. (#1212). It's on the right up a lane past James T.
Winslow's house about a hundred yards into a field belonging to Tommy Stallings.
The only marker now remaining is a broken tombstone. Asa Stallings says in
addition to Whites, there were Winslows, Outlaws, and perhaps others buried
there and that this was a large, old cemetery. Data collected by Janie Stallings

11. Wilkins Cemetery is about a mile down Craney Island Road (#1212) from Turnpike
Rd. (#1001). It is on the right, up a lane and about a hundred yards from Craney
Island Rd. It is a few yards to the right in the field of farm belonging to Asa
Stallings. Asa said that there were roofs on some of the graves at one time.
Property originally owned by the Jones family in the 1700's. Data collected by

12. W. Jefferson Winslow Cemetery is located off Beech Springs Road in Perquimans
County (1/4 mile off road, good path, no fence). (complete)
13. J. Henry Copeland Cemetery is located on Goodwin Mill Rd. in Perquimans Co.
14. Jackson Cemetery is located in Chapanoke.
15. Winslow Family Cemetery is located on Hickory Cross Ro. in Perquimans Co.,
1/2 mile between Proctor Bridge Rd. and County Line Rd. by Jarvis Winslow (complete)
16. Unknown Name of Cemetery located on New Hope Church Road on the right, driving
towards New Hope from Hertford.
17. Cedar Wood Cemetery, Hertford, NC located near the Perquimans High School and
Hyde Park. Entrance on King St. goes to the old part of the cemetery and other
entrances are from Edenton Road Street to Jim Hunter Street (beside Perquimans High
School) there are several gates on left. Jim Hunter St goes to back of cemetery.
Hyde Park St starts at Jim Hunter St, goes through the cemetery to King St.(incomplete)
18. Morgans Field Cemetery or Ward Family Cemetery is in a field near the Historic
Mitchell-Ward House located close to the Chowan / Perquimans boundary. County Line
Rd.(# 1002), Drinking Hole Rd. (#1118), and Piney Woods Rd (# 1119) all come together
in a V. The graveyard is in V of these 3 roads about 50' from County Line Rd. in a open
field. Partially transcribed by Al Ward. He referres to this cemetery as Ward
Cemetery. This Cemetery is also been referred to as Morgan's Field Cem.(ref. Bill
Umphlet) (incomplete)
19. Bethel Cemetery (incomplete)
20. Perry - Riddick Cemetery is located in Belvidere, NC on Perry’s Bridge Road
about 1 mile from Whiteville Grove Baptist Church. It is fenced in on three sides
and has a cement stairs and black iron rails leading up to it from the road. It is
well cared for. (incomplete)
21. Piney Woods Meeting House Cemetery, located on Piney Woods Road, between Drinking
Hole Rd. and County Line Rd. in Belvidere, NC. Transcribed by Jarvis Winslow (complete)

thirty miles NE of Hertford.
34. Lane Family Cem. is located on Drinking Hole Rd. in Belvidere, NC. The
cemetery is between Piney Woods Rd. and County Line Rd. up path about 1/4 mile
South of Drinking Hole Rd. There are large oak trees outside the white painted
cinder block graveyard. It is well kept. Transcribed by Jarvis Winslow (complete)
35. Benton Family Cemetery is located on County Line Rd. Between White House Rd.
and Hickory Cross Rd. It is a small cemetery in the edge of woods under large
trees. It is on the Benton Farm. (two stones) Transcribed by Jarvis Winslow (complete)
36. Winslow Cemetery is located at the 700 BLK or County Line Rd. It is between
Hickory Cross Rd. and White House Rd. in Belvidere, NC. Graveyard is enclosed by
a cinder block fence and well kept. Monument "In memory of John and Margaret B.
Winslow, parents of Mary Jane Rogerson, Herbert J. Winslow, Norman Winslow."

37. New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery located near Snug Harbor Rd.
and the intersection of 1339. Listed by Bill Umphlett (incomplete)
38. Nixon Cemetery is located near Ferry Point. It is off hwy #17, south of the
point where it intersects with New Hope Road. (incomplete)
39. Jacob Perry Goodwin Cemetery is located on Chinquipan Rd. (SR 1114) near
intersection of Great Hope Chruch Road.
40. Henry R. Chappell Cemetery is located between Belvidere Road and Piney Woods
Road. It is in front of Thomas Chappell poultry house. Cemetery is well kept,
no fence. Listed by Jarvis Winslow (completed)
41.Up River Cemetery is located on Turnpike Road. It is between Sandy Cross
Road and Up River Road in the Whiteston Community. It has a circular drive
around the cemetery and is well cared for. There are approximately 50 unreadable
stones and markers. Estimated graves 325-450. A new section was established 4 years ago.
42. Chappell Family Cemetery is located off Drinking Hole Road. It is between
County Line Road and Piney Woods Road, up a path off road. There’s a chain link
fence around cemetery. A lot of old stones (not legible). Good dirt path to
cemetery, well kept. Estimated graves 100-125. Listed by Jarvis Winslow 2003.
43. Whiteville Grove Church Cemetery is located on Proctor Bridge Road. It’s
2 miles North of Belvidere near Bethany Church Raod. Listed by Jarvis Winslow

44. Bogue – Moore Cemetery is located about 1 mile past intersection of Hwy 17
and Edenton Road in Hertford, NC. It is located on the Riddick farm. There are
some unmarked graves . Listed by Brenda Jones 2003. (complete)
45. Harrell Family Cemetery is located on Woodland Church Road in the New Hope
area. Listed by Brenda Jones 2003 (complete)
46. Elliott Cemetry is located on Center Hill Road on the North side of the road
in a wire fenced and some outside the fence in area next to a mobile home and
storage shed. There are also graves close to raodside also near a mound of bricks
and rocks with a bronze plaque listing other family members and giving location of

47. Stallings Cemetery is located on Joppy Road between Proctor Bridge Road and
Gates County Line. (complete)
48. Henderson Asbell Cemetery is located on Perry’s Bridge Road about 1/2 mile
from the intersection of Perry’s Bridge and Bethany Church Road. Images
49. Byrum – Asbell Cemetery is located in a field behind a home at 612 Lake Road
in Perquimans Co.
