Debi Hamlin Sat Jun 14 14:14:53 1997
Researching the ancesters of Peter Parker who owned land in Chowan and Perquimans Counties between 1790 and 1839. He died intestate in 1839, and was married to Elizabeth and had one surviving daughter, Ann F. Parker. Jacob N. Parker, believed to have been his brother, was designated to administer the estate. Jacob died in 1842 owning land in Chowan and Perquimans as well as part interest in the Belgrade Fishery and Parker Fishery. There was also a Parker's Crossroads in the Perquimans vicinity. Peter's father is believed to have been Elisha Parker who died in 1780, according to Chowan estate and will documents. Elisha had sons Eliaha 2, Willis, Seth, Peter and Jacob; daughters Rhoda and Sale. His wife seems to have been Easther or Esther. The Parkers seemed to have intermarried with the Skinners and Elliotts of Perquimans County.
