ALBERTSON,
STANTON
Dr. Clarence Pickard Mon,

I have about 40 Quaker lines in Perquimans, Pasquatank, Northampton, & Wayne
Counties. My biggest problem is: who are the parents of Mary Albertson who
m. in Perquimans 2/4/1778 William Bundy from Pasquatank? LDS says she was
dau. of Elias Albertson (son of Esaw, son of Albert) and Mary Stanton, dau.
of Henry Stanton, who was in Carteret Co., then in Perquimans. I find in Hinshaw
Mary Stanton m. Elias Albertson, but nothing about their children.
SUTTON

I am interested in finding out information on an African American branch of
the Sutton family from Hertford, NC. My grandfather was Andrew Jack Sutton,
born in Hertford around the turn of the century. His mother was named Parthenia
and his father was either Andrew Jack or simply Jack Sutton. My grandfather
had a sister named Minnie. It is our understanding that the male Suttons were
direct descendants of plantation owners in the area. Anything you can tell
me about this would be helpful.
RIDDICK

Is anyone interested in the story of Simuel Riddick, a slave born in Perquimans
Co. in 1841? At age 95 he was interviewed and spoke well of his owners. He
refers to the (white) Riddick's marriage into Marmaduke family in Gates Co.
Also identifies other family members. I would think Simuel Riddick's story
would be a valuable part of the History of the Riddick Family in Perquimans
Co. The reference is: Hurmence, Belinda, 1984). "My Folks Don't Want Me To
Talk About Slavery", John F. Blair, Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

WINSLOW

Searching for info on Joseph and Thomas Winslow of Edgecombe County from 1788
thru 1800. Records there show both men being "of Perquimans County", and I
believe they are sons of Joseph Winsow and Mary White. Does anyone know of
these men and, more importantly, what happened to them? My ancestor, Joseph
Winslow, was in Williamson Co. Tenn by 1808, and his children in the 1850
census claim they were born in NC. Therefore, I am trying to determine if
these Josephs are the same men. Any information would be appreciated.

I am looking for the parents of THOMAS WINSLOW (b. Aprl 4, 1679 d. Jan 1745)
who married ELIZABETH CLARE (b. Feb 21, 1685 d. Oct 27, 1739) the daughter
of TIMOTHY CLARE and MARY BUNDY on Nov 2, 1704. Is it possible that THOMAS
WINSLOW is either the son or grandson of JOSEPH WINLSOW and SARAH LAWRENCE?
Is there any proof of this link?

My Willard family were Quaker settlers in Perquimans County. What I do know
is a Martin Willard married Sarah Draper in around the 1840's, and was run
out of the county, to settle in Crawford County, IL. what information on Martin
Willard's parents is still unfound. I can guess the parents came into the
picture around the 1815 timeframe.

but I am willing to contribute anything I come across from sources other than
