ASHEBORO- Ida Smith Allred, age 88,pased Nov. 1st at Mariner Health Care, Asheboro. Funeral will be Nov. 3rd at 11 a.m., a graveside service at Randolph Memorial Park; Rev. Robert Garren officiating. Born Feb. 5, 1917, the daughter of Addison and Ida (Wilson) Smith. Ida was a native of Alamance County and was preceded in death by her husband, William Howard Allred. Survived by her caregivers, nephew and niece, Bill and Pennie Davidson of Asheboro, and several other nieces and nephews.-Pugh

ASHEBORO- Lou Ruth Wright Lynch, 88, passed Nov. 1st at Randolph Hospital, Inc. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Nov. 3rd at Union Grove Christian Church; Rev. Garry Reeder officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Born Sept. 23, 1917, in Randolph County, Mrs. Lynch was the daughter of the late Cleveland and Mary Hancock Wright. Born Sept. 23, 1932, in Randolph County, a son of the late Ollie Brown and Lillie Wood Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Brown. ASHEBORO- Esther Garner Davis, age 87, passed Nov. 4th at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Funeral services will be Nov. 8th at 11 a.m. at Central United Methodist Church; Dr. Mark J. Key and the Rev. Barry L. Queen officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, Asheboro. Born April 19, 1918, the third daughter of Worth and Mary Branson Garner. On Oct. 10, 1941, she married Clarence “Dick” Davis, who preceded her in death on June 25, 1994. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Ruth G. Morris and Marion G. Bingham; and her brother, Richard Garner. Survived by one daughter, Teena D. Born on Oct. 14, 1929, to John and Liza Whitaker Wall, who preceded her in death. Preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Harmon; and her brothers, Willie Wall and Roy Wall. Services will be Dec. 5, 2005, at 11:30 a.m. at Memorial United Methodist Church, Charlotte, with the Reverends Keith Bingham and Peggy Bridgers officiating. Interment will follow thereafter in Evergreen City Cemetery. Born in Randolph County on Nov. 16, 1914, and was the daughter of the late Cicero Thomas and Emma Ward Kirkman. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, John Clarence Hackett; sisters, Vesta Poe, Ruth Langley and Emma Kirkman; brothers, James and Richard Kirkman; and son-in-law, Dan Wayne Anderson. Survivors include her three daughters, Betty Anderson of Brunswick, Ga., Shirley Garnett and husband, John, of Rock Hill, S.C., Janet Ennis of Kirkland, Wash.; three grandsons, Richard Garnett and wife, Debbie, of Rock Hill, S.C., Steve Anderson and wife, Suzanne, of Brunswick, Ga., Scott Anderson and wife, Julie, of Evans, Ga.; four great-grandchildren, Jessica and Elizabeth Garnett of Rock Hill, S.C., Cole and Keaton Anderson of Evans, Ga. Also surviving are her sister, Kathleen Taylor of Greensboro; brother, Russell Kirkman and wife, Jewel, of Asheboro; and several nieces and nephews.
