ORANGE County was created in 1752 from Bladen, Granville and Johnston Counties. ROWAN County was created from Anson county in 1753. BLADEN was created in 1734 from New Hanover and Bath Counties GRANVILLE was created from Edgecombe, originally Glasgow, in 1746. ANSON was created in 1750 from BLADEN.
