In 1850, John RIX and wife Elizabeth lived in Guilford Co. and had children born after 1840; there were also two adult children listed, Milton and Christina RIX, born between 1830-40. Were these the children of John RICKS and Margaret ELDER. Is there an estate record for an ELDER that mentions RICKS children? Thanks for your help!

Many of the names listed, I believe where neighbors of my ancestor in Randolph County. Many of these surnames include: Alred, York, Hinds, Wilborn-Welborn, Benge and many others. Lisa Hensley Thu Aug 8 20:42:17 1996
My GGGrandfather was Henry Smith-dob about 1806-married Elisabeth Jackson in Randolph CO., NC about 1830. They migrated to Tennessee and ended up in Missouri. Several of their children were born in TN and several in MO as well. Any information on either one would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Lisa

FARMER
The FARMERs, Quakers, lived on Second Creek, near the present town of Farmer south of Asheboro.. They had moved through a series of smaller moves from Perquimans County. My personal forebears moved to Tennessee by 1811, but many others either stayed there, or moved to Murphy, NC or the Galax, VA area. This query is also being posted to the Rowan County page.
