He married Esther Glare - 1777 - 1864, and they had 10 children. They lived on the Great Swamp at Smith's Bridge between Lumberton and Elizabethtown. One of his sons, William - Sept. 1, 1804 - July 15, 1889, married Sarah Regan - Oct. 6, 1808 - Jan. 20, 1883 and lived in the Wisharts Township. They had 10 children.
