Copies of our organization files are maintained and available to the public at the Steele Creek Branch Library on Steele Creek Road and at the Robinson-Spangler Carolina Room at the Main Library in Charlotte. Hours and locations of both locations may be found at www.plcmc.org

Meetings are held the last Monday of each month at 7:00pm (except July & Dec) at either the Central Steele Creek Presbyterian Church Resource center, or the Steele Creek Branch Library.

The next meeting will be on Monday, September 28, 2009 at 7:00 PM at the Steele Creek Library at 13620 Steele Creek Road, Charlotte, NC 28273. Click here for directions.

This month's speaker will be Mr. Lew Powell, former editor and reporter for the Charlotte Observer. Mr. Powell worked for the Observer for 30 years and is known for his satirical year-in-review pages called Lew Powell's Carolina Follies. He has plenty of amusing stories to tell to the group about the events that have happened in our area over the years.

The next meeting will be on October 26, 2009. Our speaker at that meeting will be Mrs. Mary Kratt, author of the new book "Charlotte, North Carolina - A Brief History".
