Good News: If you are interested in the history and the genealogy of the US Colored Troops formed in North Carolina during the American Civil War, please join with us. Our discussions will cover the soldiers, the battles, the regimental histories, the soldiers' military and pension records and all other aspects of the five regiments of NC-US Colored Troops: the 35th, 36th, 37th& 135th US Colored Infantries and the 14th US Colored Heavy Artillery. Also, Colored soldiers from North Carolina who served in other Union regiments and sailors and marines who served in the Union Navy. Welcome to one and all.

HOW TO SUBSCRIBE
You can subscribe to our list in Mail Mode* by sending an Email message to:
NCUSCT-L-request@rootsweb.com that contains the word
subscribe
in the Text area, and nothing else.
If you prefer Digest Mode*, you should Email the subscribe command instead to:
* Mail Mode
- you receive each email sent to the list individually.
* Digest Mode
- you receive several emails at once as a digest, with a table of contents.
HOW TO UNSUBSCRIBE
To unsubscribe, follow the steps above, except enter the command, "unsubscribe" (without the quotes) in the Text and Email to:
NCUSCT-L-request@rootsweb.com (if in Mail Mode) or
NCUSCT-D-request@rootsweb.com (if in Digest Mode.)
Remember: If you Subscribed in the Mail Mode, you must Unsubscribe in the Mail Mode, and if you Subscribed in the Digest Mode, you must Unsubscribe in the Digest Mode. To switch from one mode to the other, you should unsubscribe from one and then subscribe to the other. There is no "no mail" mode -- if you want messages to stop, you should simply unsubscribe.
HOW TO SEND A MESSAGE
Once you are subscribed, to send a message to the List, Email it to:

This will let others know what your message is about.
