Attention Grand Forks County Researchers!
Researchers unfamiliar with the East Grand Forks area, should be aware of important facts. EGF is on the MN border, located in Polk County. Polk County MNGenWeb Across the border (Red River of the North), is Grand Forks, Grand Forks County, ND. EGF has never had a hospital and until the mid-1960s did not have a cemetery (Resurrection). If you believe a birth/death/burial was "in East Grand Forks" before the 1960's, you should try North Dakota Vital Records. The two oldest cemeteries in Grand Forks are the Calvary and Memorial Park cemeteries.
