Hannah Junction This site, NE 1/4 3-151-55, Larimore Township, two miles NW of Larimore, was the junction of the Great Northern RR mainline and a branch line built in 1884 to Park River. It was at that time called Park River Junction, and when this branch line was extended to Hannah in 1897 the name was changed accordingly |

Larimore This Great Northern Rail Road townsite was founded in 1881 in Section 12-151-55, Larimore Township, on land owned by Albert Clark. It was named for Newell Green Larimore, a native of Kentucky who developed the 15,000 acre Elk Valley Bonanza Farm in this area. Many members of his family still live in Larimore. The post office was established October 31, 1881 with Lyman P Goodhue Postmaster. The elevation is 1134, the Zip Code is 58251 and a peak population of 1,714 was reached in 1960. |
