AAE Kittle Olson Aae settled in SW1/4 Section 33-150-53, Pleasant View Township, about 6 miles ENE of Northwood, in 1881. About 1886 he began operating a mail distribution service for his neighbors, who were not on the mail route out of Northwood, and also ran a private community library service from his home. |

McRae This farm post office was established April 21, 1894 with Omund T. Josendahl postmaster. It was located in Section 25-150-53, Pleasant View Township, nine miles south of Emerado, and named for D.C. McRae, an early teacher at the local rural school. It was relocated to the home of new postmaster Fannie Johnston in 1899, and closed January 30, 1904 with mail to Northwood. |
