Endres This was a rural post office established July 25, 1904 with Nick C. "Con" Ulrich pm. It was located in NE 1/4 Sec. 16-149-83, Endres Twp., eight miles south of Max and named for Elizabeth Endres, who had become his wife in 1901. His brother, John Ulrich, married Johanna Endres in 1905. St. Adolph's Catholic Church in SW 1/4 Sec. 24-149-83 was the center of this community 1907-1956. The post office closed August 14, 1909 with mail to Max. |
