Greatstone This was a rural post office established January 5, 1904 with Hareton Sabrovitch pm. It was located in E 1/2 Sec. 7-149-81, Greatstone Twp., Six miles south of Benedict, and named for its township, which was named by settlers to note the many large glacial stones that had to be moved from their fields. In 1907 it moved one mile east to SE 1/4 Sec. 8-149-81, the home of new pm Mabel E. Griffith, and closed September 30, 1912 with mail to Coal Harbor. |
