Darling This rural post office was established June 28, 1902 with Arthur Logan Maxwell (1869-1943) pm. He was well known in the area as a politician and businessman. It was named for D.M. Darling, a local homesteader, and was located in SE 1/4 Sec. 33-148-81, Lake Nettie Twp., about seven miles NW of Turtle Lake. It closed November 15, 1907 with mail to Coal Harbor. |
