I'm looking for information on Karl Zimmerman. He was the son of Paul
and Margaretha Hamerl Zimmerman and a brother to my grandfather, George

to work the harvest, on payday he went to town and was robbed and killed.
He left three children behind with his wife, Suzanna Carson Zimmerman,
from whom he was divorced in 1914. She never told her children anything
about their father.

I'm looking for a little bit of information on Henry L. HENKE. He was
mayor of Mandan for a time. He was born 31 Jan 1864 in Ohio or West Virginia
and died in Mandan on 28 Jul 1934. He was buried in Union Cemetery in Mandan.
He first married Nellie JONES and had a daughter Hazel HENKE in 1895. Henry
and Nellie divorced and Henry married Mary Jane "Jennie S." BROWN in 1901.
Jennie was born on 3 Mar 1859 and died in 25 Nov 1957. They had no children
between them. Jennie was a widow and had several children. My couple of
questions are. They lived after Henry's potical life south of Mandan in
an area known as Henke Flats? Where is this? Is it still called Henke Flats?
Another question is when was Henry HENKE Mayor of Mandan? His obituary
stated he was mayor at the time when street lights were installed. Henry
was a son of a Methodist minister Christian Henry HENKE and was of German
descent. What Methodist churches are located in Mandan or Morton county?
