WEGENER PFINGSTEN EGGE HOFFMANN DREWELOW SCHEDEL PFENNING Christ WEGENER (b6/21/1844 in Germany - died New Salem, ND 10/3/1925) and his wife Sophia Justina PFINGSTEN Wegener (b 7/15/1849 Germany - died 4/3/1916 in New Salem, ND) both immigrated to the US c 1856 and settled in Illinois. They were married in 1867 and moved to New Salem in 1883 - as part of the founding Germany Colony. Their children were: Fred (poss. Friedrich or Friedricke) Wegener Christ Wegener Louis Wegener - married Marie SCHEDEL Mathilde(a) {a.k.a.Tillie} Wegener - married John EGGE Mina {a.k.a. Minnie} Wegener - married Henry PFENNING Henrich {a.k.a. Henry} Wegener - married Minnie DREWELOW Amanda {a.k.a. Mandy} Wegener - married Robert HOFFMANN John WEGENER - married Nan STEVENSON In Christ and Sophia's latter years they ran "Grandma Wegener's Boarding House". I am a great grandchild and am trying to piece together the family history. I am looking for any relatives or anyone with information on the family - such as: old stories, historical information, leads on family, etc. I am also looking for any information/leads on Christ and Sophia's family. The only information I have is regarding Christ. His father, same name, and children came to US in 1857. KATHERINE J. LINDSAY, Wife of JOHN WILLIAM WILSON, Mother of PANSY RUTH WILSON WALTERS. I am searching for my mother's side of my family. My mother, Pansy Ruth Wilson Walters, was born on 6/28/1912 in Gayton, N.DAK. That is what her birth cert. says. However, I was always told by my mother and father that she was born in CANNONBALL, N.DAK. at an Indian trading post. In fact, she "was the first white girl born there". .Her original birth cert. was lost in a fire. When she tried to obtain a copy, there was no record of her birth. She finally did obtain a copy thru a company that traces such things. Her birth cert. says that her father delivered her. when John was 39 and Katherine was 29. Is it possible that it was not allowed to record a birth of a non-Indian on a reservation? Pansy's mother, Katherine J. Lindsay Wilson died in Washington(?) when my mother was 3. Katherine's mother reared Pansy in N.DAK until she was 8. John was born in Hickory, Missouri, and Katherine was born in Ashford, Ohio. Would appreciate any info.

Looking for information on Gustav Adolph KAELBERER born 27 jan 1871 died 2 Feb 1942. He lived in New Salem and had children there in the 1910's. I know there were many Kaelberer's in the area. I am seeking information about descendants of Augusta(OLTMAN) MATTHAIS and Otto MATTHIAS. I believe they had three children Elizabeth(also know as Daisy), Wesley, and Rueben who were born about 1904, 1905, and 1906 in Richland County, ND. Augusta MATTHIAS died in or near Barney, ND (Richland County) in 1907 when the children were very young. Her husband remarried and moved to Mandan, ND. I have located the family in Mandan in the 1920 census and don't know what happened to them after that. The 1920 census lists Elizabeth as married with the surname SUMMERTON. There is also a one month old child named George SUMMERTON (Elizabeth's son)listed. There is no spouse listed for Elizabeth. Any help is appreciated.

John EAGEN, Mary EAGEN and Ellen "Nell" (Mrs. Tom)DONOHOE were siblings residing in New Salem in during 1910. I believe they were homesteading land as they worked building railroads through ND to MT. Ellen died on May 29, 1910. Mary died in late January or early Feb. 1911. and James died in Great Falls, MT on October 17, 1911. I am looking for information on a Fredrick Frances GERARD. He was born 14 Nov. 1829 and married Ella S. WADDELL on the 15 of Nov. 1877. I know that he was and Indian Interpreture and that he was with Major Reno at the little Bighorn. Fredrick and Ella had the following children; Fredrick Curtis bonr 16 Oct. 1878--Birdie Ella born 4 July 1860--Charles Drummond born 25 Dec. 1888--and Florence Drummond born 29 SEPT.1893. ALLEN: Looking for info on John Frederick ALLEN born 22Dec 1871 Canada and his wife Grace Darling Bates born 1877 in Ontario Canada. Went to the States in early 1900's. Possibly 1905 or 1906 and resided in the Mandan area. To my knowledge there were at least two children..a son Frederick and a daughter Gracie.
