Cemetery Locations

Cemetery inscription books are available from the Red River Valley Genealogical Society and cost $15 per book. There are three books for Pembina County which provide a nearly complete listing of ALL cemeteries. The inscriptions on the headstones and sometimes additional information is given. The society has an order form online for download.

NOTE
It is important for researchers to know that Hensel was listed on all early maps as Canton or Canton City or Village. All censuses through at least 1920 list Canton Village instead of Hensel. So searching for Hensel on these censuses is futile.
