Am looking for any information on Dr. Harry DeWitt Lees who was
a doctor at Esmond and possibly at Devils Lake. He was educated in Hamilton,
Ontario and likely went to Esmond about 1912-1914. He married Mary Pruitt
in 1916 probably in the area, and both were members of the "Chautauqua"
where Mary sang and Harry played the piano. Harry apparently served as
a Doctor to a large area in the county. Believe they moved to Rochester,
Minn in 1923. Any information appreciated.

I am looking for any information concerning Marvin Losey (Jr.) who
according to a newspaper
article written in Crookston, Minnesota, "while he was in this city
as a Deputy Sheriff, he removed
to Devils Lake" it had to be sometime between 1890 & 1900. Thank

I am looking for any information on John Melvin Young who according
to his mother's obituary was
living in Edmore, ND at the time of her death (May 24, 1915).
I have no information about him
except he was born around 1857 in Winnebago County, Wisconsin. (
Father: Isaiah Young, from
Noyan, Quebec, Canada; Mother: =Sarah Jane Roberts, from Wales)
In 1880 he was living in Stillwater, MN "working on the river".
His family has been found to be
either in the lumber industry or farming. I think he was married
but have no concrete proof yet.
(Possible wife's name: Alma) Any information would be wonderful.

LOWRY surname...I am searching for the whereabouts of my great grandparents,
William S. and Sarah Ellen Hills LOWRY, who were listed on both
the 1920 and 1930
Devil's Lake U.S. Census. Their son, Thomas Oscar, was also listed
at that time,
but moved on to WA state after the 1930 census sometime. I
am still trying to locate
the "greats" and wonder if they died in DL. I have a new email address
since the

DOHENY GRIMES RIGGIN MCCANN
Hi from Texas ... Looking for information on, and descendents of, Dennis Doheny and his
wife Mary Grimes. They came to Devils Lake from MN in the 1880s. They had 8 children and lived at Grahams Island. Only known marriages of children were to Riggin and McCann.

I am looking for information on ROBERT MILLER of Barlett, ND. Wife is Jennie with six children. They lived in Barlett from about 1880 until about 1905. Robert owned a lumber yard in Bartlett, I believe. I am trying to find out where he came from in Canada.
