Daniel Johansson Loftman was my Mothers GreatGrandfather, and he emmigrated to the US in 1881, with a new family, wife and three sons, (He never married my mothers Great Gandmother). First he settled in New Ulm Minnesota, but probably moved to Birch Cooly sometimes between 1881-1888. We've got some information on him dated 1888, which says that he owned 80 acres of land, in Renville County, Birch Cooly Township, Section 35. Whatever that means?

Brennan, Julia A.
Time: 1904 - 1904
Place: 158 N 082 W 035 (Southern Renville/Northern Ward Counties)
I am trying to find the records to follow the trail of my
great great grandmother -- Julia Brennan.
She was originally from Scriba, NY. She married Joseph Fenton Brennan
of Auburn NY. They had 6 or 7 children before his death in 1894.
John L. Brennan, Martin P. Brennan, Joseph P. Brennan, Ruth Brennan,
and a couple other children whose names I cannot remember
At some point after my G.G. Grandfather's untimely death
she came to Dakota territory with her children. I have a picture
of John in the Badlands of ND located near Marmarth, ND.
The picture is dated 1904; however, John did not patent any settler lands in Marmarth until 1920. Apparently at that time he was married to
an Anna Wise Brennan. There are some inconsistensies, however.
The 1904 picture is of a 35-45 year old man. In 1904, John would
have only been 17 or 18. Maybe with your help I can figure out if
the Julia A. Brennan is my G.G. Grandmother, and how the John
and Anna Brennan with adjoining patents in Ward and Renville County
are related to me and my family.
Roe, John E
Time: 1900 - 1915
Place: Mohall
John E Roe, b 2/8/1865, came to U.S. in 1872 from Norway.
Moved from Dexter, Minnisota to Mohall about 1901.
His wife is Gena Lewis, b 12/2/1876, They had nine children,
Hjalmer Roe, Lottie Gertrude Roe, Edwin Roe, Ruth Evangeline Roe,
b 3/5/1903 in Mohall, Eddie Roe, Otis Roe, Roy Franklin Roe,
b 5/5/1906 in Mohall, and Arnold Williferd Roe, b 11/10/1908 in Saskatchewan.
I believe Eddie and Otis, twins, b 2/6/1905 and both d 4/6/1906
were also born and died in Mohall. They were Lutheran so I believe
they attended Lutheran Church. Gena Lewis apparently divorced
John E Roe and married Anton K Eidem, on 5/26/1913.
They had one child, Raymond Willmar Eidem, b 1/19/1915 in Mohall.
NAEGELI, Edward
Time: 1902
Place: McKinney
From the Carver County, Minnesota newspaper, the Weekly Valley Herald,
on July 3, 1902, entitled, "Death of Ed Naegeli":
"The city papers last night contained the announcement of the death
of Ed Naegeli at McKinney, North Dakota. He left Hutchinson for
the former place to go into business about three weeks ago.
Cause of death unknown. He leaves a wife and two children."
I have tried without luck to find ANY other information about the death
of this man, without any luck. I don't know his wife's name or the names
of the two children. Can someone guide me into finding the death
certificate, or any newspaper account of the death from North Dakota, or ?
