McEwen, John

Time: 1906--1921
Place: Norma, Renville, ND

I am looking for information re: John McEwen who is listed as one of the first settlers of Norma, N.D.,
according to the Renville County History.
From the Census Records I have found that John married an Effie L. ?unknown? who had a daughter, Florence,
by a first marriage. In about 1906 John and Effie had a son, Paul and in about 1912 another son John McEwen Jr.
John McEwen was the youngest of seven Children of Alexander and Elizabeth (Hibson) McEwen.
They were married in Minton, Londonderry, Ireland on February 16, 1854
John and Elizabeth must have come to the U.S. shortly after their marriage, as their first daughter Mary was born
December 16, 1855 in Leicester, Livingston Co., NY. Other siblings of John were, William born February 18, 1857
although the date of March 05, 1862 was listed in Alexander’s Civil War pension report.
I suppose it is possible that there were two Williams, as there is a childs grave on the family plot,
listed as little Willie. Then there is Elizabeth born December 02, 1859, married to Bert Bloodgood;
then Ester (Esther) McEwen born December 18, 1861 and apparently never married. Next is Thomas T. McEwen
born May 06, 1863; Margaret "Maggie" McEwen born April 01, 1865 and married to Robert MacDowell.
Last but not least was John born November 21, 1868.

Anderson, John

Time: c1972

John Anderson of Sherwood, ND is listed as my Great Uncle Hans W. Anderson's
brother in Hans' obituary of 1972. Hans passed away in Florida. A sister, Alice, of
Chula Vista, CA, is also listed in Hans' obituary (Mrs. Alice Allenaresa).
I am trying to find an obituary or any other information about John or Alice and their parents.
Their Mother's first name is supposedly Carrie. No information on their Father.

Clementich, Wilhelmena

Time:
Place: Renville

Seeking information on parents of Wilhelmena Clementich. Believe Wilhelmena
to be identical to "Minnie"/"Mina" Clementich, wife of Joseph Clementich.
Wilhelmena is buried in St. Henry's Cemetery in Renville County. Her
tombstone indicates she was born in 1866, but the 1900 and 1910 census
indicates she could have been born in '67 or '68. She died in 1918. I
suspect that Wilhelmena is the daughter of John and Anna Kinn. Anna died
and is buried in Roberts County, SD. Any information on Wihelmena would be
greatly appreciated.
