***A Work In Progress - If You Have Any Information To Help In This Cemetery Inventory Project Please Contact The County Coordinator.***
There has been a lot of activity at findagrave.com in recording Traill County tombstones and in some cases there are photos and/or documentation. You can go directly to findagrave.com Traill County findagrave Page and search within their pages, or you can click on a cemetery below to see what we may have, and then click on the link we have there to go directly to the findagrave.com page for that cemetery.
Special Note on Military Veterans: There is no national veterans cemetery in North Dakota. In 1989 the state legislature established a 35 acre veterans cemetery near Mandan. You can
read about it here at this web site. Over 2880 burials at the cemetery are contained in an online database located here. Although Mandan is in Morton county, the burials represent most, if not every county in North Dakota.
See our Volunteer Lookups Page for possible tombstone transcriptions of the cemetery you have interest in.
Note: A bold cemetery name has it's own page or is listed in the
RRVGS Listing. See ** below table for MAP information.
CEMETERY NAME
(Includes Other Names It Is Known As)
** = Cemetery location data provided by TopoZone.com, which in turn uses
United States Geological Survey coordinates. The coordinates are entered
into the Microsoft® MapPoint ® online mapping site to generate cemetery maps.
The maps give turn by turn driving directions; and allow the user to zoom
in, pan left to right, up and down, etc.
