LLoyd's Spur

This was a Soo Line Rail Road loading station in NE1/4 Section 32-156-84 Kirkelie Township, one mile SE of the Vanderwalker station. It served the Lloyd Coal Company mine in Sections 31 & 32-156-84, owned by Harold Lloyd, who shared his name with a famous actor of the era. The station was built about 1900 and was removed in 1920.

Tasker

This post office was established December 29, 1904 with Benjamin B. Tasker Postmaster. It was located in NE1/4 Section 30-156-84, Kirkelie Township, at the site of the Vanderwalker station which served a coal mine five miles NW of Burlington. The post office closed November 15, 1917 with mail to Burlington.
