Abridged:
Walter Eli CLARK departed this life aged fifty years, seven months and
ten days. Although in failing health for some time, his death was very
unexpected and came as a great shock to the entire community. He was married
in to Mable METTEER at Lynch,
Nebraska. To this union were born six children, two sons and four daughters,
Warren CLARK, Frank CLARK, Nylotis CLARK, Nellie CLARK, Hazel CLARK and
Althea CLARK, all of whom, with his wife, survive him. His father, mother and
three brothers preceded him in death. Five brothers and two sisters survive,
Alva CLARK, William CLARK, Frank CLARK, Ira CLARK, Sam CLARK, Mrs. Carrie
DARE and Mrs. Sylvia SIMPKINS. With exception of three years at Lynch,
Nebraska, and a few years in South Dakota, Walter’s entire life was spent in
or near Oakdale. |
